Atlanta has been a hub of creativity for many years. Only recently has the beloved city began to receive it’s recognition in it’s contributions. However despite this fact, there is so much talent that has yet to be fully appreciated. “Atlanta’s own” is dedicated to connecting and highlighting those within the community who are shaping Atlanta’s culture and shifting today’s look, sound, and perspective.

Atlanta has been Mecca in the music industry for as long as hiphop has made its way to the South. As the years have progressed and hiphop has evolved, so has the sound coming from Atlanta. There’s a new sound, stretching the capactiy and meaning of the beloved genre . This year we dedicate and highlight those evolving the hiphop and rap sound and are on their way to being the front runners of this generation.
